Additional Information Only three years after their formation, the iconic rock music group Led Zeppelin had achieved great success and became one of the era’s most innovative hard rock bands. Their heavy guitar-driven sound, led by Jimmy Page, would become one of the most influential rock groups to come out of the nineteen seventies. Their catalog and legacy continue to inspire and influence musicians to this day, shaping the sound of modern music. Led Zeppelin evolved from a former group, The Yardbirds, and was considered a supergroup since the members had experienced success before Zeppelin’s formation.
